Favourite whakatauki/proverb? “Love the life you live, live the life you love.” – Bob Marley.

What is your favourite seafood? Seafood chowder made by my dad.

Best day out fishing? A fishing competition with the Tatapouri Sports Fishing club when I caught my very first fish --  a 20+KG Bluenose, then another one after winding that one in.

Hobbies? Netball and whanau.

What is your role in the company? I am the face of the company in the office and reception area. I am also the assistant to the CEO and also the board of directors.

What previous experiences most help you in your work here? My previous employment was also working in an office, but working at Ngati Porou Fisheries has given me a lot of responsibility and new roles. I am still learning every day.

What do you love about working here? No day is ever the same.  I have challenges every day which keeps me on my toes. Also NPFL have encouraged me to progress my career here and I am currently studying towards a Bachelor in Business Studies, majoring in human resources through Massey University. I may not have started or even thought of doing this if I wasn’t working here.
