Favourite whakatauki/proverb? Give a man a fish it will feed him for a day, teach him how to fish and it will feed him for a lifetime.

What is your favourite seafood? Snapper, flounder and fresh mussels.

Best day out fishing? Surfcasting and spearing for flounder with my family.

Hobbies?  Chilling at the beach and collecting kaimoana, reading and gardening.

What is your role in the company? Quality assurance and compliance requires me to maintain the quality of product processed throughout the business as well as ensure general compliance requirements are met along with company training needs.

How does Ngati Porou Seafoods Group benefit the people of Ngati Porou? Investments are shared back to the people through their marae. We also provide employment which in turn puts money into our community.

What do you hope to help NPSG achieve in years to come? To distribute our own product under the Ngati Porou Seafoods banner for both domestic and international markets as well as continue contract processing. Also to train and develop people so they can have successful careers in the fishing industry.
